The Oshawa Community Health Centre has been building its capacity to address the needs of transgender individuals, but because they are a funded agency (their doctors can’t bill OHIP for services), their doctors can only work you if they are your family doctor.

Any family doctor is welcome to attend the Trans Health Connection weekly conference call hosted by Rainbow Health Ontario for professional support in working with trans patients. Gender confirming hormone therapy is a common and well understood treatment, and doctors considering supporting their trans clients are encouraged to attend.
